How does this keep happening?
My work area has taken over more than half a six-foot long table (again). These are books I’m compelled to keep within reach, though I tend to read only those I need for class. I’ve been trying to make a dent in that Hitchen’s book for awhile. 
Anxiety (this deserves more than 50 words, but a constraint is a constraint until it’s been removed)
Today, the volunteer coordinator at the day labor center trained me on the computer where employment arrangements are made for workers. She said a man came in yesterday to hire workers for lawn work. She asked for his address, phone number. He became nervous. The gestapo is watching, he said.

Accrued many marks against my karma this morning as I cursed humanity during my early morning commute to Boca. 85 minutes. Twice as long as usual. The conference reading was groovy. A handful of undergrads seeking extra credit=captive audience. I mentioned Waylon Jennings and wonder if they’ve heard of him.
